I bought the device as an alternative to an iRig HD 2 and its definitely has a leg up on the iRig HD2.
I was able to get one for about $30 less as it was on sale on their website.
I love the ability to have an XLR microphone and a 1/4 line in where the iRig HD2 only has the one. 1/4 inch in.
This give you two audio in (possibly 3 with the MIDI in, have not tested) in a portable and compact device that's easy to travel with.
I am a dance instructor and wanted a device that allows me to bring clear audio using the 1/4 inch jack (mp3) into my iPad/iPhone while still being able to communicate to my audience via an XLR microphone and this device allows me to do both without the need for an additional mixer.
I would highly recommend for any musician who sings and play an instrument. This will allow you to output clear sound for a show on FB or IG live using your mobile device. You will need a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter for this to work (iPhone/iPad users) This device is more similar to a USB audio interface but in a more compact/travel size option.
